Screening:  A DRY WHITE SEASON (1989)

The critically acclaimed, A DRY WHITE SEASON, is the 1989 anti-apartheid film that garnered Marlon Brando a Best Supporting Oscar nomination and a Best Actor Award at the Tokyo Film Festival.  A DRY WHITE SEASON made Euzhan Palcy the first black woman produced by a major motion picture studio and the only woman to direct Marlon Brando. She has been recognized by the late-President Nelson Mandela, the South African government, other governments, entertainment and civic entities for risking her life to expose the injustices in apartheid South Africa.
